September 18 Weekend Trail Report

It should be a nice weekend to get into the Foothills. Colors are beginning to change along our upper elevation trails and even along some of the lower waterways. Watch for ongoing trail work along Toll Road, Cottonwood Creek and 5-Mile Gulch trails. As a reminder, Cottonwood Creek Trail remains closed from 7:00 AM until 3:00 PM Monday - Friday to allow our crew to complete a large trail retaining wall repair. The trail is open at all other times.

Group riders, hikers and runners - we have had quite a few comments lately from users encountering large groups along the trail. Please remember to keep your group no larger than 12, and to use good trail etiquette by stopping and allowing other users to get by rather than making them wait for your entire group. Also, there are lots of area NICA mountain bike teams practicing during the week.
