October 2 Weekend Trail Report

We sound like a broken record - more great weather, more great trail conditions! And more people enjoying the trails....!

Please practice good (great?) trail etiquette when you're out there - smile, say hello, step aside and yield the right of way when it is your turn to do so. Be kind. Simple stuff.

We are seeing an increase in "rogue" trail maintenance on numerous trails lately. While well-intentioned this work is almost never done correctly and often leads to worse trail conditions. If this sounds like you, please stop - and if you know someone hiking with a shovel (most of this appears to be done via shovel) please suggest that they leave it at home. We have a professional, well-trained trail crew and scores of volunteers who work alongside us to ensure that maintenance is done correctly.
