May 29 Trail Weekend Report

It should be a beautiful weekend to enjoy the trails. Maintenance has been completed recently on Shane's Trail, Table Rock Trail and the Dry-Shingle Loop (still ongoing).

We received several complaints recently from hikers, runners and mountain bikers regarding downhill cyclists creating their own lines up and over trail meanders along upper and mid-Dry Creek Trail. This is leading to vegetation loss and sloughing of bank material into the cleared trail tread. Our trail crew attempted to restore the trail in these locations and naturalize these "ride-arounds" only to find them re-established a day later.
