January 2 Trail Report

The Foothills have received almost half an inch of rain since yesterday around noon. This means that most trails are saturated, muddy and prone to damage if you ride, hike or run on them. Simply put, if you care about having quality trails to enjoy throughout the year this is not the time to head very far into the Foothills.

Please remain only on all-weather trails or routes like Rocky Canyon and upper 8th Street if you really need to have dirt beneath you. The Boise Greenbelt would also be an excellent option today.
