February 25 Trail Report
February 25, 2026 12:00 PM
Today's trail report is a fairly simple one. The Foothills received a half-inch of water yesterday - primarily in the form of rain, but in the form of snow and rain at higher elevations. Rain also fell early this morning.
This means that low and mid-elevation trails are saturated and extremely prone to damage today and likely for the next several days.
Still want to get out and stretch your legs? We don't blame you - yesterday was a lot of indoor time for most of us! If so, here are your options for exercising without damaging Foothills Trails:
- The Boise Greenbelt
- All-weather Trails: https://ridgetorivers.org/trail-guide/trail-etiquette/wet-weather-and-winter-trail-use/
- 8th Street Road
- Mountain Cove Road
- Rocky Canyon Road
- Upper elevation trails (Stack Rock Trail and above - they will be snow covered)
Thanks for checking today's report and please help us to pass this messaging along!
