February 23 Trail Report

Happy Monday. A warm and windy weekend combined with above freezing overnight lows means that trails in the lower Foothills have dried considerably. That said, there are still notable exceptions even down low, so please refer to our Interactive Map https://ridgetorivers.org/trails/interactive-map/ to help you avoid these trails.

Moving up to the mid-Foothills, conditions change quickly. You will find remnants of snow and plenty of mud as evidenced by the Sweet Connie Trail photo, so please avoid these trails. Upper elevation trails remain snow covered.

We are in for a considerable amount of rain tomorrow (Tuesday) if the forecast holds true, followed by sunshine for the next several days. This could spell prime conditions for trail damage so please continue tuning in to our Facebook page and website for daily updates.
