February 18 Trail Report
February 18, 2026 12:00 PM
Trails in the lower Foothills were firming up more than expected yesterday afternoon, so if you use our Interactive Map https://ridgetorivers.org/trails/interactive-map/ you should be able to find some decent choices today. Exceptions are noted in black as muddy on the map and should be avoided.
Trails in the mid Foothills remain lightly snow covered and could go either way – a crunchy inch or two of snow, or snow turning to mud. Please turn around if you encounter the latter condition. Upper elevation trails will remain frozen and snow covered today.
PLEASE NOTE: We have seen and heard numerous reports of E-motorcycles on non-motorized trails this winter and this seems to be on the increase. The vast majority of riders appear to be teenagers, who are admittedly a hard group to reach – even when encountered while on the trail. There have been multiple reports of the riders speeding away when other users have tried to tell them that they are not allowed. Please help us to get a handle on this situation as these E-motorcycles are causing trail damage and causing legitimate safety concerns among other trail users.
Thanks for checking today’s report!
