December 8 Trail Report

Well what a difference it makes when our temperatures remain above freezing. Even with all the rain we saw earlier this weekend, by yesterday afternoon trails we would typically have expected to be muddy were actually tacky and good to go.

Our Interactive Map https://www.ridgetorivers.org/trails/interactive-map/ will show you that there are lots of options out there today, and a few areas that are likely still too muddy to use due to their soil structure. We have a fair amount of moisture forecast for tomorrow, then an usually warm and drier trend that should help to improve conditions again by later in the week.

If you do find yourself on trails that are muddier than expected, please turn around and seek a drier alternative rather than continuing through and damaging the trail tread – there are plenty of good options out there today.
