December 6 Trail Report

December 6, 2025 12:00 PM

Muddy trail shows obvious signs of damage from use.

Happy Saturday and thank you for tuning in to the trail report.

You’ve heard it once and you’ll hear it again! With all the heavy rain in the last 24 hours the trails are muddy. Although the weather for today may look decent, there will not be enough wind or sun to dry them out. Our best recommendation is to stay on the cautious side and check out the all weather trails that are in great condition and eager for visitors! Other great options are 8th Street and Mountain Cove road for some long stretches.

You may feel like it is silly to stay off of muddy trails but the truth is it is important to allow the trails to dry before heavy use. Riding, running or hiking on muddy trails leads to damage and widen trails - this is difficult to repair. We love our trails and if you do, please remember if you find yourself on muddy trails, or walking off trail to avoid mud it is time to turn around and seek a drier alternative.

There are great alternatives to muddy trails so please check them out and choose an alternative to your adventure this weekend!
