Boise is currently seeing temperatures in the mid-20s with a high reaching near 35°F. While the sun is out, we have a steady northwest wind that is making it feel closer to 20°F. The combination of these cold temperatures and the recent gusty winds has been a game-changer for the foothills. The wind is acting like a giant hairdryer, significantly speeding up the drying process across the system. Trails are GOOD TO GO!

You might still encounter a few isolated spots of standing water or lingering puddles in low-lying areas or heavily shaded north-facing slopes. The "Mud Test": Even though most trails are dry and tacky, remember the golden rule: if mud is sticking to your heels or tires, please turn back to prevent rutting.

But get outside and enjoy the trails while this chilly weather allows and happy trails!
