We are in a funky time in the season where trail conditions are heavily tied to the weather are so there's a lot of variation throughout the day and week. Let's talk about what to expect. With the amount of rain we had yesterday, we expect there to be quite a bit of mud still out on the trails. However, with some of the wind we've been having things are definitely doing their best to try and dry out. Today we expect them to still continue to try to dry out throughout the day, but that doesn't mean that they're going to have much luck.

The trails were able to get a good freeze last night meaning that your best bet is going to be to get out early while they are still frozen. About mid-morning and noon trails are expected to thaw and that's when things are going to be pretty muddy. Be very mindful about where you're going as there is going to be a wide range of varying conditions on the trails today. If mud is starting to cake on your boots or tires that is a very clear sign to not continue on and turn around.

Try to stick with sandier trails and of course please check the Interactive Map to see the most current updates.
