April 3 Trail Report
April 3, 2026 8:00 AM
Back to wintery conditions...at least for another day! Moisture kept falling until well into the early evening last night in many Foothills locations, and with a cold start today most of the system will remain muddy this morning but begin to dry by later this afternoon and through the weekend.
Please check our online Interactive Map for latest trail conditions, and as you do during winter months, think about out and back or more creative routes today that keep you off of muddy trails. A significant amount of trail maintenance has already been done this spring by Ridge to Rivers Trail Crews along with many volunteers. Riding, hiking or especially riding a horse on all but the sandiest trails will damage the tread and negate all of the hard efforts that have been undertaken already. Please exercise patience and allow trails to dry out, and turn around if you encounter muddy conditions.
Landslide Loop and Sideshow Trail will open Monday morning, April 6th to allow for adequate drying. Polecat Loop will also switch directions from counter-clockwise to clockwise on Monday.
