April 20 Trail Report

Trails in the Foothills have largely dried since last week's rains, however there are some with persistent wet areas - like Sideshow which has numerous muddy spots as depicted in the attached photos. It would be good to avoid that trail until these have had a chance to dry.

Rain related rutting and erosion is prevalent throughout the system, so be heads up especially if you are descending a trail on your bike - these can be real tire grabbers. Ridge to Rivers trail crews are working on trail repairs however our crew is small and the rain related damage is not - and there is more rain on the way! Another round of signficant moisture is headed our way Tuesday night through Wednesday.

Upper elevation trails are again quite snow covered following last week's storm event.

Please remember to use good judgement and good trail etiquette when you are on the trails - it truly takes our entire community to manage the Ridge to Rivers Trail System.
