Muddy Etiquette

Following a quarter-inch of rain throughout the day yesterday, Mother Nature punctuated this storm cycle with a walloping half-inch received in an hour late in the afternoon.

The moisture appears to have finally ended, but expect to find most trails muddy and prone to damage this morning. Please concentrate your use on all-weather routes or our sandiest trails, and use our Interactive Map to help locate these: https://www.ridgetorivers.org/trails/interactive-map/

Today's high is only 47 degrees so it will take a bit longer for trails to dry out. Please exercise patience and restraint so that your use doesn't lead to trail damage - if you are leaving tracks, turn around and seek a drier alternative. This web page is a great guide for some of those possibilities: https://www.ridgetorivers.org/trail-guide/trail-etiquette/wet-weather-and-winter-trail-use/

Thanks for checking these reports and Happy Trails!
