Wildlife of all shapes and sizes share the Boise Foothills with you. For many, the foothills are all that remain of their once vast home range – now covered by urban development. Land managers are charged to protect the habitat of these animals, and do so through a variety of management strategies.
Please help us by giving all wildlife a wide berth and respecting their habitat by remaining only on system trails. If you bring your pet with you, please be reminded that it should never be further than 30 feet away, and under voice control. This helps to minimize disturbance to wildlife and allows both humans and animals to share the values that the foothills provide.
